Sun burn and heat rash possibly?

Asked by Harrow185 (298points) August 5th, 2009

I’m doing a field hockey camp that’s on turf and in the sun, I’m one of those people like “Oh I don’t need sun block” so I didn’t put any on. And what do you know I got a major sun burn on my face, neck and arms. When I got home I put on bath and body works cream ( it was the only one I had). And today I loaded up on the sun screen. I still have my sun burn and I think I got heat rash too around my chin its bumpy and itchy and stings. I have banana boat aloe for the sun burn but what about the heat rash, can I use this too or something else? Thanks for your help I really need it.

Drink more water and keep applying the aloe.

The damage is already done, so all you can do is help your body heal.

Keep up with the aloe on the sunburn.

You can put dry baking soda on the rash to help it dry out, or you can use the aloe to soothe it.

You should avoid the sun as much as possible while your skin is healing.
