What would you ask for Christmas?

Asked by 2late2be (2292points) December 8th, 2008 from iPhone

Hubby told me that he plan to spend about $250 in my christmas gift, what would you ask? I have a cell phone that I love, my iPod touch, my MacBook, I’m not a big fan of clothes and accesories, I have my digital camera (actually selling it to get another) so… What can I ask?

For me it would have to be a gift card at either Barnes & Nobles or Harbor Freight (I’m a tool junkie).

Cash or gift card to Linens’N Things, Pier One, Bed, Bath & Beyond…there’s many possibilities at any of those stores. (You are a lucky duck) :-)

A lovely gift of his choosing.

Well, if you honestly don’t think you want or need anything right now, just tell him to put it back. No doubt that in the coming months there will be something that requires the $250, and, then, you’ll be glad you didn’t spend it. Or, you could just wait until after Christmas and hit up the post-holiday sales. Lord knows you’ll get A LOT more for it then.

@jbfletcherfan Linens and Things is going out of business, so a gift card won’t be good for long. But if you take advantage of the sales quickly, you could make a killing there! I got tons of stuff last weekend and saved a lot.

Put the $250 back & keep stashing til you & your hubs can take a romantic weekend away.

Have him give the $250 to your favorite charity?

jbfletcherfan's avatar

@scamp, it is??? Well, hell. That’s a good store. I’m sorry to hear that. :-(

Yep! Here is an article about it. I’m sad to see it go too.

How about a nice road bike with lots of alloy parts? Fun and good for the health. ;-)
