How much does it cost for a monthly ticket to the train in the Netherlands?

Asked by tilc (126points) December 19th, 2008

It should be a student ticket. I am hungarian, but will learn on a dutch university. I have a european student card and hungarian one (if it matters) for contingent discounts.

Hello! Now, I am already back in Budapest, so this question is not so relevant for me anymore. I have experienced about the prices when I was there, not really cheap :))) And I felt bad that I didnt get student discount there with my Hungarian Student Card. This is not so EU style attitude… What are you doing in Holland? Study/Work?

Hi! Ok I understand =) I’m sorry you had a bad experience in Holland.. The prices are way higher, weird nobody told you about that! It would have been better if you had a small job while you were there, because depending on your age, you would have gotten at least 5 euro’s per hour.
Too bad you didn’t get a discount.. =S Do other EU counties accept that card?
I came to Holland with my mother when I was 4 years old. I was born in Pécs. I’m now still a student and I work part-time.
