How do you join a group on facebook?

First things first… logon to your Facebook page, scroll all the way down to the bottom, and look in the lowest, right corner for the link to Help, where they describe all of that.

There’s an entry describing Groups as well as Search.

There’s even a dedicated page just for searching for classmates.

Can I do this on iPhone?

I have no idea what you can do on an iPhone, but to join groups, just type in whatever you’re interested in, in the search bar, such as “cats” or “flying saucers”, then when you see the results, click on the “groups” tab. Click on a group you’re interested in, and on the right, under the picture, there should be a button that says “Join group”. You just click that button and you’re all set!

You can download the Facebook app (free) from the App Store. It’s okay, but doesn’t provide full functionality.

Or you can try iphone.facebook.com which provides an optimized interface with access to more features.

Just try it out. You ain’t gonna break nuthin’.
