Hello! I fell down into some bushes yesterday and now I have cuts and scratches all over my arms. Do you know any remedies that will make them heal faster?? Thank you!!

neosporin, band-aid and don’t pick it!

Rub on Vaseline…keep them “lubed” up and don’t let them dry out.

Neosporin or MiraCell

It sounds gross, but having a dog lick your wound actually helps it heal faster. Dog saliva has lysozyme in it, which is an enzyme that helps kill bacteria.

Don’t let a dog lick it. Dogs lick asses too, you know.

Keep the wounds clean, don’t dry them out (no tanning). You can put a cream type substance on it if you’d like, but there’s no need to keep the wounds coated and dripping in the substance. I usually put a small layer of neosporin on wounds, then cover with a bandaid.

And yes, no picking at wounds. It never makes them heal faster.

You can also try this to reduce scarring.

Neosporin and only cover it if you know you will be exposed to a lot of people or in a crazy environment. If youre at home at night just let it air out. ALSO dont touch it to prevent infection. I fell on the bush too with my buddy due to intoxication LOL. And, i just put some neosporin+ pain relief. I did not cover it or anything, I just wash it with Safeguard also before I apply Neosporin. I also used IODINE which does a pretty good job as well. I just dont like the look of it LOL.

Also, if you are younger you should be fine as younger people tens to heal faster.

Thanks FrancisRude! Neosporin has officially become the one item I do not leave the house without.

Do not under any circumstances have your dog lick it. When I was a teenager I did just that and ended up with a severe infection in my leg and had to put a drain in it. I had a red line traveling up my leg. Just keep it clean and covered and let it heal by itself.
