How should I prune my boxwoods?

Asked by Kayak8 (16457points) May 21st, 2009

I have 12 boxwoods per side coming up my front walk. Do you think it looks better to prune them to appear as individual plants or as a solid hedge on either side of the walk? I do not have the skill to create elegant topiary statues so don’t even go there! I am just trying to assess what is more popular these days.

I personally think they look better all as one. It would be really cool if you made it tall-short-tall-short so it looks like a castle wall :)

I come from a family of dentists who would be driven crazy if I did that . . . GREAT idea! LOL

Agree with goose756 on all-one-shape but I would make the top surface wave up and down in curves.
