Why do I always get heart burn in the early morning?

Asked by MikeMcG (53points) January 2nd, 2008

If I ever stay up past midnight I find that I get heart burn around two-ish. I think it’s because my muscles are usually relaxed around that time.

You might have slightly acidic intestinal flora. With the time gap from last meal there might be accumulation or increase acid concentration, thus results to heart burn.
