How do I get an Applescript to run in the background?

Asked by Mtl_zack (6778points) July 14th, 2009

I don’t want to have to click on it every time I want to run it, basically. I’m really new to applescripts, so please keep it simple.

FastScripts is free for ten scripts. Hit F1 and it will run. Or any key combination. I have F1 to make Firefox the active application.

If hitting a key to trigger it for you doesn’t work google “CRON OS X” and go with that. That will run things on a time schedule.
