What shade of red should I color my hair?

Asked by AlyxCaitlin (936points) August 16th, 2009

I’ve been dying to try a new red; maybe a bright red like the classic example of Haley Williams. Or should I dye it something else?

depends on your skin tone?

There is a red called something like cherry cola that I like a lot. Just don’t do that purple-red!

Any color that looks like it could possibly be natural would be my suggestion.

Dying your hair is fun until the roots start coming in, then I always deeply regret the decision!

MJ from Spider man?

I have an olive color skin, and I used to keep mine a very red/Auburn. My sister, with her while/freckled skin kept hers the color of Orphan Annie, a golden red, which was once her natural color.

Auburn or Copper. Red headed women make me speechless.

Mine’s more orange, like “MJ-from-spiderman” color, but I always wish I had the darker, coppery kind… :( I love it.

Another vote for Haley Williams.
I love it.
And this one too.

Depends on the kind of look you’re going for. Fun would equal bright red such as the person you mentioned. Sophisticated would equal an auburn with copper throughout or maybe cinnamon.

Haley Williams has awesome hair. You should totally do that!

Ruby red, cherry red, or titian red are awesome. I would dye my hair so that it would be red enough to show up in pictures.
