How do you change this Norton Antivirus 2009 setting?

Asked by kibaxcheza (1091points) October 3rd, 2009

I have the Scheduled scan set to run once a week, but when its done it doesn’t show me the report. I know it does that because nothing came up, but im lookin for a little piece of mind. I tried to change it and looked on the net for a little while, but came up empty handed. Does anyone know how to get it to display post scan results?

This will not directly your question, but my experience has led me to the belief that one is better off without Norton security software.

If this were my system, I would uninstall Norton and replace it with Comodo, or AVG, or any one of many other well-reviewed free or low-expense programs.

I have the same problem so I just do a manual scan. Your results will show after that!

have to agree with @pdworkin here. Norton is just bad news any way you slice it.

I use AVG but my mom is a skeptic about free software. This is all for her, not me lol. That with Spyware terminator and Zone alarm, i feel im pretty well off. I hooked my brother up with the same package, but my mom want conform to what i call the “FSP” or Family standard protection.

basically, Norton blows. avoid like the plague.

I personally recommend Kaspersky or Eset Nod 32

OK, again, not helping.
I know norton is shit, thats why i dont use it. As previously stated this is for my mother. Stop saying it sucks, i know that and that isnt what im asking. If you dont know how to change this setting, just keep youre 2 cents.
