iPhone’s platform has received a lot of criticism due to Apple’s draconian app approval process (arbitrary rejections, etc).

Android is open source, which automatically makes it an easier environment to develop for.

Without being a developer, however, there is only so much that I understand about actual developing of applications for different platforms.

BlackBerry without a doubt. It is the primary business platform and as such has the strongest market for apps that are business oriented. In other words more potential earnings. Kids who want games don’t pay as much.

Although I haven’t used android, I can tell you the iPhone is the most amazing experience you can have on a mobile phone; if you can even call it a phone. It really is like a little computer, and with all the applicaions available, it has the power to be anything you want. The applications are so well done and designed that you would think they were done by apple. Get an iPhone!

@rguest: Although I haven’t used iPhone (and won’t because Apple fanbois piss me off), I can tell you that Android is the most amazing experience you can have on a mobile phone.

It runs on a Linux kernel, which is commonly found on “computers”, so it must be the most amazing thing in the world ever because it means your phone is a little computer.

Sarcasm aside, Android is open, and has some brilliantly realised applications that are (gasp!) free.

I would recommend actually trying each OS and phone – there are lots of Android phones, there are two or three iPhones. Find out which you like.

@the100thmonkey Android will play a very big part in the future. I’m sure it won’t die soon. One thing bothers me with what you said though. You wont try an iPhone because of it’s users that piss you off? The machine has done nothing wrong, don’t hate it because of the users.

This reminds me of Twilight. Just because teenage girls loved it, everyone else hated it even thought they never even read or watched the movie and it wasn’t even that bad.

Don’t think like that.

@TheCreative : I wasn’t serious, actually. I think I stated somewhere in my post that I was being sarcastic…

I’ll thank you to not tell me how to think either.
