I miss "Men In Trees" and wonder if anyone knows of other TV shows being produced that are have a similar voice/style?

(Some of you replied to my previous question…but it was pulled for editing. Hey, I’m relatively new and still learning.)

I realize that “Men in Trees” is quite unique.

Living in the UK, I had no idea about this show…as in the UK they import shows a year or two after they are produced in the US and then they stick them on at very odd hours. I happened to be up late one night and caught episodes of this show and was just enchanted! What an amazing little show! And then, I get online to read more about it…only to find out that it was cancelled! Can’t believe it. There is so much garbage on TV and this gets cancelled?!

I keep hoping they will release a DVD. Any word?

Also…any other shows that are currently on (in the US or elsewhere) that have the same sort of writing/storyline (past or present is fine)? It would be great to hear some suggestions.

I really liked this show. It was quirky, well-written and just romantic…in a very odd and sweet way.

Thanks!

I just couldn’t get into it or like it. Anne Heche is a nut job. I can’t forget how she was abducted by aliens whenever I see her on TV

@SpatzieLover….I really wondered about Anne Heche too….but I was able to divorce my views from her alien abduction to “Celestica” while watching this show. LOL!

I am sure you echo….lots of people! :)

@DarlingRhadamanthus Every time I see her (like her last visit to Dave Letterman) on TV, I think…UGH! I bet interviewers cringe when she’s booked to appear. On Letterman she complained vilely about her x-husband. I sat there thinking, “What did you expect…he married your crazy ass!” ;) I really did “try” to get into the show. Just the Heche factor killed it for me

I watched it now and then. It reminded me a bit of Northern Exposure, which was my favorite television show in the 90s.

@jonsblond That was a fav of mine, too! That’s why I tried watching Men in Trees
