I have one type of perfume that I love to wear that’s hard to find, and I love getting it for Christmas. I sometimes give aftershave/perfume as gifts, but only to family members, only expensive stuff, and only when I know they like how it smells on themselves. Good perfurme/aftershave is a treat.

I would have to say no. I have just one fragrance that I’ll wear. It’s kind of hard to find. I order it on line. If anyone gave me anything else, I probably wouldn’t like it. Same goes for wine. My boss gave me a bottle of wine today & we just sampled it. It’s so bad that it’s not going to get drank. Too bad. She meant well & I’m going to have to lie when she asks about it. Something as personal as perfume & wine should be left to KNOWING what the other person likes. I’d never give it, personally.

My neighbor gives me my perfume every birthday and xmas. I love it!

I don’t wear perfume myself so it’s a bit pointless, I don’t mind body sprays though as they tend to be a bit lighter. I usually get my boyfriend aftershave either for Christmas or his birthday.

Yes as long as it’s a scent I’ve said that I like, already wear or if the giver picks something they find irresistible and want to smell it on me.

There aren’t a lot of perfumes that I like, so I don’t really like receiving them. I would only give them if I knew what the person wanted.

Yes both! I like to get my husband his favorite after shave and in turn I love it if he gets me one of the many perfumes I like.

Only if it’s Creed… hint hint.

dani6119's avatar

oops Sorry Tom. Missed the hint. Maybe your b.d. ha ha

Tomfafa's avatar

Dani… What does b.d. stand for?

dani6119's avatar

@Tomfafa – Sorry. Forget not everyone knows my abbreviations or shorthand. Birth Day, or birthday. :-)

Gotcha dani… There is a great ‘text mess’ shorthand this site doesn’t use. When I type longhand, I type at about 90 words a minute… when I type ‘text mess’ I type 3,600 words a minute.

dani6119's avatar

@Tomfafa – 90 wpm??? I haven’t taken a typing test in so long but doubt I could keep up with you. That’s impressive. I find sometimes it takes longer for me to type text mess as I actually have to stop and think about what I’m writing where the normal words just flow. When I text my kids, I prefer to use the abc rather than the T-9 as that never quite says what I want. Someone once mistook my b.d. for bedroom. Not sure how that happened but it really messed up the meaning of what I wrote.

Tomfafa's avatar

@dani6119 maybe not 90… more like 7… er 70!!! actually I’m not sure myself… but I know I’m fast… now I’m burning to know… I’ll time myself and get back to you. I use T-9 only for texting.

dani6119's avatar

@Tomfafa – LOL! You do that buddy! I don’t like T-9 but I also don’t like that it takes my phone a while to keep up with me. If I need to use the same key twice in a row, I have to wait for it to move to the next space or I erase the letter I just entered.
