For me it is Christmas music, which I love.

Greed.

Being Jewish and going skiing (short lift lines) and then for Chinese food.

The anxiety of having to spend money to show others that you care. I know it shouldn’t be necessary, but the need to give material gifts is so instilled in my psyche it’s hard to let go.

Christmas lights along the eaves.

The painful experience of having the entire family under one roof, each pretending that they could stand each other. And my older sister taking those first toddling steps to alcoholism.

Food and famliy.

Soap and talcum powder. Every year, my grandmother give a lot of both to me and my mother so the smells remind me of Christmas.

Seriously, I think there are more people who celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday than those who celebrate it as a religious holiday. Like the majority of of Japan’s population, only about 1% of which practices Christianity.

Boy! This family is just full of christmas cheer!

@ucme If I were an intellect… I would say intellects have more fun! Intelligence is a fun multiplier!. They find more ways have fun… especially with women.
