About 4yrs old, my Grandfather had an apt. over the top of a shop and it’s living room windows faced out to the main street and the courthouse. I remember how lovely was a tree he decorated, the smell of the pine sap and at night the colored lights were visible that decorated the lamp posts, building rooftops. Snow seemed to fall everyday and there were colorful garlands that stretched across the roadways connecting signal lights. I even remember the meal he cooked and have some memories of him as he was preparing the various dishes. We’d get in his car and go to an empty parking lot where he’d speed up, slam on the brakes and let the car slide around on the slick pavement, it was a great time.

When my parents gave me a big box filled with everything possible from the “World Wildlife Fund” and also a certificate saying they had donated $1000 to help save the Polar Bears in my name. (Polar Bears are my favourite animal) I cried and cried; it was the greatest memory and gift I could have ever received ^.^

As of to date, the best memory is eating big chunks of turkey and attending church on Christmas day.

Yesterday and last night were pretty great. My closest relatives, best friend and my partner all together under one roof.
