Does whatever I do on farmville.com show up on Farmville application on Facebook?

Today, I just discovered www.farmville.com. So, here is what I am wondering:

I’m assuming that whatever work I do on my farm from www.farmville.com will show up on the Farmville application on Facebook and vice versa. Is this correct?

If all of those farmville updates in your feed annoy you, hover one of them in your feed until the “Hide” button appears, click it then click “Hide Farmville”
