Is this a good deal on used Specialized Stumpjumper MTB?

He’s come down to $250, it’s been checked out by a bike shop and everything is go. And some of the components have been replaced/upgraded.

Though he can’t remember what year it is (either ‘99 or ‘00) as he bought it used 5 years ago for $1100.

It could be. You’d probably want to check it out quite thoroughly.

it’s a really good price but if he used it alot, hucked it alot, be careful- but if it’s been checked by the bike shop, thats a REALLY good price- wear a good helmet

He’s also lowered it to $200…

So this would be a better steal than say a brand new Specialized Hardrock?

probably because it’s a better bike- but its older, so if you don’t mind that- make sure you have the welds checked, and the brakes, cause like I said if it’s been hucked hard alot you might want to know..

I wish my son would be satisfied with a bike like this- he just had to have an ironhorse sunday world cup, which got stolen, now he just has to have an intense 951 grrrrrrrrrr
