What do you think of the new "thank" feature of fluther?

Asked by XOIIO (18328points) March 18th, 2010

I just noticed this, I think it’s new today. It links straight to the persons wall. I like it.

I love the thank feature.

It’s been there for a long time though.

Yeah.. This has been around for a long time. But it is a nice feature. For shits and giggles you can try to thank yourself.

Oh I guess I just didn’t notice.

Color me dumb, but where is the “Thank You” feature? How does one access it? What does it do? When did it get added? Who added it? Why? Why didn’t somebody tell me about jt when I joined? So many questions.

Thanks Be to Fluther that there is Fluther to get me some answers

@ETpro It’s something that shows up in the questions you asked. Clicking it (the button is right on that same bar as the “Flag” button) will send you to the person’s profile where you can leave a comment thanking them.

@Sarcasm Thank you, since I can’t use it as I didn’t ask this question.

As far as I remember it’s always been a choice on the ‘flag as’ link.

It’s been there for as long as I’ve been around. You see it only on your own questions. The apparent logic seems sound: when you ask the question, you’re the one who might want to thank responders.

It would be nice if people used it more. Sometimes when I answer questions I don’t know if I actually helped the person asking since anyone can give lurve. Maybe revisiting the showing if lurve was given to you by the person asking the question would be good. But just make it so you can only see if it was given to you instead of showing everyone else.
