Can you force an iPod touch to output video to TV?

Asked by mrtomservo (87points) March 8th, 2008

Hi all,

I have a jailbroken iPod touch and a fancy new iPod AV cable to play videos on the TV. It works great. What I also have is an iF2 iPod dock and speaker setup, which also works great.

What would be awesome is to have the two work together. When I have the AV cable plugged into the iF2, and the iPod in the iF2’s dock, the iPod touch “thinks” the AV cable isn’t connected, and won’t output the video to the TV.

So my question is: can I force the iPod touch to output all video to TV (via a hidden preference or command line deal or something)?

Thanks in advance!
