Could using Hops as a topical medication affect my birth control?

Asked by ashxmy_lovee (161points) April 3rd, 2010

I had a rash on my underarms, so I bought a deodorant for sensitive skin.
It has many ingredients in it, including Hops.
I recently found out the Hops can decrease the effectiveness of birth control.
Does using it on the skin still effect birth control?
I am on Yaz.

I wouldn’t worry about it.
