Let me run through my day.. I will list a devices that use electricity excluding lights.

-my toothbrush
-stove/toaster
-my iMac and all the stuff related to that
-my TV and VCR/DVD combo piece of shit
-iPod

Well that is about a normal day. And I should add my space heater. I would freeze without it.

When I was mobile:

First thing I do when I wake up, after green tea, is check my email on my iPhone, contact my VA in India (not as fancy as it sounds) hope in my car and use my GPS to get to whatever starbucks some pre-evolved exec insisted on meeting at. After work I get home and my partner and I watch South Park, House MD, X Files, Family Guy, old Simpsons etc.. on our rear projected tv (old technology but it gives the most “movie theater” look and that’s important to me)

He falls asleep while I check my email (iPhone) one last time and then I go to sleep myself.

Repeat. I’m a creature of habit.

Lately though it’s been: wake up, sit at my laptop, watch TV all day… allllllll daaaaayyy.

Wake up, check fluther and e-mail and text messages on iphone, brush teeth, prepare outfit, check on reptiles, send nathan a cute message, get everything ready for school (tablet, laptop, iphone, maybe a textbook), hop in my car, check traffic, drive really really fast, get to school, get on my computer/work on art-etcetcetcetc alldaylong…
go home, get on my computer, curl up, and relax. (Or go pack and drive to see nathan for the weekend and tackle him the first second I get in the door)

cell phone wakes me up, i immediately unlock the screen of the macbookpro, shower, get in the car, plug in the ipod, get to work, set up the dell laptop, set up the mbp as a media center. then i get back in my car, perhaps a listen to the radio on the way home, back on the mbp at home, dinner, more mbp. but now i’m going to have to integrate my new wii into the mix. and guitar hero. and many times i have one or two cameras on hand, just in case.

i think that’s about it.

iPhone, MBP, DLP tv and LCD, ham radio, ecu controller boost controller and turbo timer… My desktop pc(s) etc. Gps on my radio, in my car, etc. I also play 360 or ps3 on occasion. I use all above devices on a regular basis. Any other amateur radio operators on fluther? I also use my digital SLR camera pretty much everyday.

iPhone, iMac, AppleTV. Other than that all the normal stuff.

Heh, name the normal stuff. :)

This is a personal investigative look at how much tech you utilize from day to day.

I’m happy to see you included the bike! Great thinking! At one time the bike was an amazing technological discovery… something we laugh at today – but I appreciate and applaud human progress in each instance. :)

Well, without my bike, I’d have to walk 30 km everyday to school. And today, it rained :P
