Where do people work (females) while on probation?

Asked by jandre6231 (33points) May 3rd, 2010 from iPhone

My boyfriend and I got into an arguement on new years eve. Nothing crazy but he lied to the cops so now I have probation. I am a nurses aid but can’t touch my license until I’m finished with probation. Where can girls get hired while on probation

Ask your probation officer – no one will know more than him/her.

Cleaning services, some beauty salons (with cosmetician license), many nursing homes will hire.

What ever you do, don’t support the liar that caused all this if you do find work.

See if you can find work at a group home for the mentally retarded or mentally ill. It requires less actual “nursing” and more simple supervision, and they are more lenient about qualifications. Your background skills from the CNA work would make you a good candidate for the position. Check your local unemployment office for jobs called “habilitation technition” or “habilitation aid” .

There are also caregiver positions in private homes that don’t ask for a background check, or will be willing to accept you.

@YARNLADY I would think all caregivers would require at least some basic background check !
e.g.{So who’s taking care of grandpa ???
Don’t know her name ,,,some tattooed biker chick ! }

Private parties can hire anyone they want. Some people might require a background check, but depending on the price charged, others wouldn’t. When it comes to taking care of grandpa, you’d be surprised who the agencies send over. From a personal newspaper ad, you might get a lot of variety. It’s no different from hiring a babysitter/nanny.

A strong, tattooed biker chick who doesn’t mind ‘personal care’ might be just the ticket.
