Is Del Boca Vista a real place?

Asked by AshlynM (10684points) May 15th, 2010

May seem like a silly question, but I’ve always wondered.

This is a place mentioned on Seinfeld.

It folded when Morty Seinfeld was impeached.

No. But it is darn close. It is modeled after the retirement condo settlements in Florida near Ft Lauderdale like Tamarac . The communities have names that sound like wilderness or open spaces: The Pines at Hallenbenck. Boca, Sawgrass Meadows, Lime Bay.
Buildings are built in Phases so and each phase has elected representatives.
If you take a vacation you should go to that area and listen to the conversations at the restaurants. You’d think you were in New York City.
Seinfield got it exactly right – even down to the fold-out bed with the bar across your back.
