What can you give away freely and still have?

Asked by ETpro (34605points) June 28th, 2010

It’s been said that you can’t have your cake and eat it too. But you can’t very well have love without giving it. There are other examples of things you can give away freely, yet never run short of. Think about it. Some of them are of inestimable worth. Isn’t it empowering to think that some of life’s most precious things come in a never-ending supply?

What can you think of that we can give away yet still keep for ourselves? What can we only have through giving?

Thanks to all for a list of great answers. Kudos particularly to @rebbel for “Answers.” I was wondering how long it would take for that one to opo up on a Social Q&A site. And isn’t that why we all love to participate. We gain by giving answers. @DrBill Another good one. Giving information and knowledge not only doesn’t diminish our own store of it, it refreshes it. THere is no better way to learn a subject well than to spend some time teaching it. ::-)

@jazmina88 Amen to that. You can’t even have much of a heart without freely giving it to others. Thanks.
