General Question

Hey programmers, can you direct me to site similar to stackoverflow?

Asked by phaedryx (6129points) July 14th, 2010

I joined stackoverflow.com because of a few recommendations. I am sorely disappointed (here’s what my experience has been like). I’ve decided it isn’t worth the time it will take to get enough points to actually do anything.

I’m looking for a good Q&A site that is specifically focused on programming.

I sometimes find some good answers on experts-exchange.

An alternative might be going to a programming forum that deals with the specific area you’re interested in. In my (rather limited) experienced, the more specific the site is with regards to what you’re working on, the more helpful it will be.

Though technically not a Q&A site, the Webmastering & Programming section of the HardOCP forums has several Einsteins ready to answer any question thrown out. At the time of this post, there are 136,591 registered members with 2800 users online… though only 30 are currently viewing the section mentioned above.
