Yes, you can only ask three a day.

@second_guessing
So, that’s two more to go :-)

yes, three….also, that includes questions that you abandon.

Isn’t it three in twelve hours?

It is 3 a day right now, but it’s a flexible number. It depends on the total amount of questions being asked and the quality of those questions. It hasn’t changed in quite a while, though.

This is the first day that I’ve used up my 3 questions and had another question to ask.

It’s killing me. :)

They need “Roll over questions” Like roll over minutes from AT&T.

@mowens G-d, I’d have about 211,399,002 by now if they did, but who’s counting?

I think if you abandon a question, then you should get a freebie question.

Why don’t people read the guidelines?

augustlan's avatar

@AshlynM If the asker can just abandon it and get another one, they may not put enough thought into each question in the first place. It might encourage some people to say, “I’ll just throw three Qs out there, and see what sticks. After all, I won’t lose anything if they’re removed and I abandon them.” The limit helps maintain site quality.
