Do you fold the tshirts you pick up at department stores?

Asked by Breefield (2733points) March 31st, 2008

I always feel obligated to re-fold the graphic t’s I pick up in department stores, but I never can so I always end up setting it back down all rumpled up on top of the pile. What do you do?

Same thing happens to me too, actually.

I feel obligated to that too! I think its just a mannerism.

I wish there was a fool proof way to fold all the different kind of shirts I pick up, pants are easy enough to figure out, but shirts just elude me…

I always re-fold, but I can never make it look as nice as the display….therefore it looks somewhat out of place.

I fold them back. I guess its from years of helping my mom in retail.

Of course, but I don’t want to put their clean pretty t-shirts on the dirty floor!

I fold them back, and it’s always a bit of a challenge.

Yea i cant fold any which way so i just do my best to refold them but it always ends up looking like a fourth grader with down syndrome was playing with the clothes.

I usually do, but you know they can tell and just refold it anyways, but I feel bad leaving it unfolded, so yes I think its best to put it back the way you found it

This is something that has always bothered me – I pretty much gave up trying to fold after my terrible results. BUT after clicking on uberbatman’s link, and seeing the explanation video for it, I am a master! In one try!

My days of embarrassment at the mall are over.

Ha – depends if they’re watching or not… but I never leave the dressing room a disaster, I always put my stuff back nice on the hangers

Yes, I try – but I’ll be watching the video for pointers. I do it because my sister was in retail, and she had some horror stories about the epic refolding sessions after all of the jerky customers had left. Incidentally, I straighten cans at the grocery store, too, after many years of helping my dad at his store.

I just learned how to fold like a pro as well! I thought this video was actually more useful.

Thanks uberbatman! I’m already a better person and it’s not even 9 in the morning!

Oh, and I always refold t-shirts at stores, but they usually look poorly folded and lame (but not for long).
