Do you imagine certain Fluther users to look a certain way?
When you see someone’s username, or their avatar, do you picture them actually looking some kind of way to you? I do.

Interestingly – I never imagine them as being much older than I. Whenever I find out that a user is of or around retirement age…I’m both disappointed in myself and really excited that there’s true diversity here.
I don’t wanna know if @seazen doesn’t look like Jean Luc Picard. My universe would implode.

as much as I’m slightly weirded out by that family, @SundayKittens – it is really cool that they built their own house (kind of like we’re doing here with the community…sniffle.)
I’m Jinger, of course. @iamthemob I love them, they are an amazing unit.
Ditto to the album answer. I know what a handful of users look like, and I don’t guess about those that I don’t know. I’ve never been good at that.
I don’t think that I have imagined what users who haven’t posted a picture of themselves look like. That answer sounds a little boring and unimaginative, but it’s true.
I see them as their avatar shows them as.
I would always associate their avatars with how they looked in my mind. I still kinda do that a little bit, but not so much after I actually met some Jellies.
However, I am, in fact, a yelling cartoon fish.
I actually picture everyone at fluther looking like this nowadays.
If I know their age, I picture them with the appropriate color in their hair, but I don’t get body type or height or what kind of clothes they wear (except Coloma).
I am always amazed at how beautiful so many jellies are, when I look at the albums. So much so that when I come across someone who doesn’t look that good, I am surprised. But there’s enough beauty there to make me glad I’m a butterfly and nothing else. I suppose that in some ways, my former avatar was probably more representative of the reaction people have once they notice me. Anyway, to save people such shocks, I generally try to remain unnoticed.

The woman can recognize my larynx when I’ve never even seen it? Not even in a mirror? Kind of reminds me of the prince trying the glass slipper on every girl in the kingdom. Except you’re asking every man to open his mouth to show you the color of his vocal cords.

I do expect people who use male avatars to be male. Other than that, no.
Wow! If only I were half as tall as either Lincoln or David.
@Blondesjon Didn’t I let you see me once during one of your radio shows? Or was that just an “almost.” Anyway, if you did, then clearly you are playing with a stacked deck (and I don’t mean your wife). Although, I do want to say that even I am better looking than Larry David, not that that bar is set high enough to trip even a catfish.
I imagine you all look exactly like your avatars. Even the ones with pretty patterns hahaha!
