What is a question that you have never been able to find the answer to?

Asked by troubleinharlem (7999points) January 10th, 2011

There are some questions that cannot be answered with the knowledge that we have now. I call them the “questions that I’ll have to ask God in heaven”, but if you’re not religious than you can just call them something else.

What are some of these questions that you’ve always wanted an answer to?

Oh! If you have answers to any of these questions, or theories, then don’t hesitate to sing out!

One of mine is why black people have nappy hair – everyone else (practically) has nice, straight hair, so why did we get stuck with ours?

Black peoples have the coolest hair there is, everybody else has to pay a lot of money to look like that!

Did Glenn Beck rape and murder a young girl in 1990?

People are asking questions and he’s not being forthcoming with answers.

@Mamradpivo : I didn’t hear about that… do you have an article or anything? I’d like to read it, if you do.

@troubleinharlem Here you go.

Probably didn’t happen though

“What was that thing I forgot on June 12, 1998? All I can remember is that it was a really good idea.”

And if I got that one answered, I’d have a few other dates to ask about next.

Being serious, I do want to know how some people stay religious when they are surrounded by so much information and access to knowledge and rationality in our modern world. I know why people are religious, but I don’t understand how they stay religious.

I’ll never know exactly what my father was trying to say, the week before he died, by posting this line of poetry on the marquee in front of his store:

Send not to know for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.

I believe I understand what the poet Donne meant, but I’ve never figured out whether Dad had a promonition and/or was just giving up.

What motivates people to hurt others? The thoughts and views of some people who have betrayed me in the past?

MRSHINYSHOES's avatar

@Cruiser Lol. (I never have a problem with that——all my socks are the same kind——long, stretchy “executive-length up-to-the knees kind”—-and either dark navy or solid black! Just put 2 together and they ALWAYS match. )
