Is this the usual alpha male?

Asked by Adityaa (8points) August 12th, 2011

Why would an alpha male get quiet around a certain woman and not around the rest?

He talks to everyone else, even those he hates. He is not bossy enough towards her, as he is to the others who are closer to him whom he controls.

Most guys that I know like this are just pufferfish. They really feel very insecure and they puff themselves up like controlling a$$ holes. Maybe he’s afraid of her because he’s afraid she sees through his facade.

Welcome to Fluther.

He doesn’t sound like an “Alpha” male, he sounds like a jerk.Maybe she refuses to be bossed around by her.

I have people that I hate so much that I know I need to just avoid them or I will pop a squat and coldcock their cock.

He can be and maybe he doesn’t know how to impress/approach her.

I think he’s afraid of her. That would make him not a true Alpha.

Well, whatever the reason, I hope she appreciates that he’s quiet around her, he sounds like a complete jackass.

Sounds like she is lucky that he is not bossy to her as well and that he keeps his distance from her.

There could be a number of reasons he is like this around her. He could be afraid of her, know that he can’t pull his crap with her so he just stays away, or he could just be avoiding her for some other reason (like not liking her).

He doesn’t sound like much of an alpha male either. There’s more to being an alpha male than bossing everyone else around.

Who knows? Why are you reading anything into this man’s behavior?

I have this alternative definition for an alpha male, it’s called tiny penis, neanderthal pissant!

I’m an alpha male! Hear me roooaaaaaar! [beats chest]

Now get [the eff] away from me. I don’t listen to women.

The above was a sardonic response, in case you were thinking of taking it seriously.

She scares him—by reminding him of a woman in the past who intimidated him, by seeing through his bluster, etc. Ergo, she can be expected to be called a bitch or a psycho behind her back when she’s not around him.

I bet he gets really “brave” when he’s got several little friends/ sycophants spread out around him.

Doesn’t sound very alpha to me.

Even in the wild, Alpha males sometimes has to court the Alpha female. He knows he can easily assert himself over everyone else but he has to cool down his dominance so she will let her guard down. Essentially he has to let his guard down around her.
