I don’t have the timeline thingy yet but as regards the regular Newsfeed, yeah, the same people show up all the time.

I think facebook figures out who you converse with often. The friends you comment and like their posts and vice versa. Or, someone told me that. I think you can adjust who pops up on your news feed if you go to account settings? I’m not sure. Plus, of course, the people who write often you will see more often.

@JLeslie You’re right. You unsubscribe. Which I just did. :)

Sorry, I post a lot. :D

@ANef_is_Enuf It’s not you. :)

What I hate about FB is that they try to impose what they think you’ll like rather than allowing you to set up things the way you want them. I find them diabolical.

Actually, in all seriousness, with the new “top story” nonsense, I will often have the same person’s posts all at the top of my page. I’ve heard from friends that this happens to them often with my posts. Because my posts usually generate a lot of activity, they often end up at the top of the feed.

I wouldn’t have been surprised if it was me. I don’t know why anyone is friends with me on Facebook, lol.

Yep. @ANef_is_Enuf is all over my Facebook ;)

I have a friend from Manchester and she posts or comments every few minutes (I would say).

@Jude Oh, that’s interesting. I’ll have to look at it. I don’t read a lot of my news feed. I just look at whatever is right there on my page when I open it, I rarely spend a lot of time reading other people’s status updates.

ANef_is_Enuf's avatar

Ok, I’m not that bad. I limit myself to 5–6 posts a day. :) lol.

Yeah, damn that Neffie person. I don’t know who she thinks she is by usurping my page, but DAYUM!

Oh shit…umm…

All your Facebook are belong to Nef.

Yes, you (@Jude) feature prominently.

JLeslie's avatar

@Jude I see you a lot, so I guess my fb likes you.

I too have noticed that All our Facebook are belong to Neff. And Jude. Even more than KatawaGrey, who should be the most prominent on my feed.

Jude's avatar

Haha. I am cutting back on my FB, so, you will see less and less of me. You an unsubscribe, if you want. :)

JLeslie's avatar

@Jude No, you come up a lot because I “like” what you say a lot I guess. I like seeing you on my facebook. You don’t send any of that BS invitations or games, that is annoying, I try to hide that stuff.

So… I thought the people showing up on my posts were all the people on my friends list. Are you saying we have to also be subscribed to each and every one of them? Facebook is becoming a pain in the a__.

JLeslie's avatar

@Neizvestnaya No, I think if you are sick and tired of seeng status updates from certain friends you can unsubscribe them? The friends you have should come up in your news feed.

janbb's avatar

I think all the ones in your list come up, I think subscribe is more like following public figures but I agree that FB is a pain in the ass. You used to be able to hide people’s posts rather than unsubscribe – now you can’t?

Bellatrix's avatar

Oh no! I am from Manchester! It is me! Naah, I barely post anything.

Neizvestnaya's avatar

It took me a few weeks to figure out home page and my profile aren’t the same feed.~

AshlynM's avatar

Yes, at least 1 or 2 people post constantly. I don’t mind really, gives me something to read, but I’ve had to delete people from my friend’s list because of this reason.
