Are House Republicans acting like self serving stupid idiots?

Asked by philosopher (9065points) December 20th, 2011

All of Congress is. Neither party looks out for working people. However this demonstrates what the R is about.

You need to fix your link.

Anyway as I stated before, Republicans need to reboot. The GOP equivalent tends to be a good party whenever they start all over

Yes.
I don’t even think they are effectively being self-serving.

This particular event is making that apparent to more and more people that they aren’t even trying to actually get anything useful accomplished. That (Republican) senate minority “leader” Mitch McConnell says their number one goal is to defeat Obama.
How can any intelligent person imagine that is good for the country?

Politics always brings out the idiots on all sides.

You left out a word – STILL.

Are House Republicans STILL acting….

I don’t think the Republicans are “acting”. I think they are totally out of touch with the reality that most of us live with every day.

So long as we are stuck with ONLY the party of Twiddle Dee, and Twiddle Dumb, nothing will ever get done unless either party gets both houses and the White House. Other than that, it is one four year long pissing contest.

@philosopher But the repubs have been especially bad since Obama took office. My lord. He has to talk to them like he’s their father and they’re just spoiled, selfish, thoughtless, immature, wayward five year old children who can’t think beyond what they want at the minute, and to hell with everyone else. Which is what they act like.

Nice guys get taken advantage of.
I wanted Hillary for her experience. He had little and came off as weak. This has hurt us all.
Obama is bright but his lack of experience made him to kind to both sides.
I am an Independent and I believe in moderation. A President must learn to say NO to both sides. When the documentation does not support them.
Pelosi and Gingrich are the two opposing extremes. I dislike all extremist on both sides. They decide according to rhetoric not facts.
