How shall I celebrate this educational victory?

Asked by blueberry_kid (5957points) March 2nd, 2012

I once asked a question about getting into 8th grade honors, and if I should be concerned at all. Well, SCREW THOSE JERKS! Because this girl has made it into AA classes. What is this you ask?

You may or may not know what this is but I will explain this anyway. AA is kind of like advanced placement, but it’s like a normal class, but it moves at a faster pace. Honors, I finally figured out, was just a certain group of people who learn differently, but also had better grades sadly.

But! I just wanted to explain this to you alll, and ask…

Will you help me celebrate this educational victory?

I’m slightly confused still by what this means but congratulations anyway. Don’t compare yourselves to others.

This is only your first step in your educational greatness and I congratulate you!!!!!

The next time I hear from you, let it be for your graduation from Vanderbilt University.

Here’s a tale of how important education is for you. There was this hotshot hockey player that was amazing. He made it to Harvard University. 15 seconds into his first game, he got pushed into the boards. He hit the top of his head on the boards and broke his neck. Instant paralysis. He fought thru it. He got his education and a profession. Be proud of your accomplishments.

Good for you! I’m feeling your joy right now. My daughter has a learning disability and took AP (advanced placement) classes. She couldn’t keep up with the reading in English, but listened very carefully during class discussions and took very good notes. Managed to get B’s. You sound like you’re proud of yourself and you should be. I think you’ve opened a big door for yourself. Makes me feel excited for you!

None of that matters until you make a damn difference in the world. You can be a sponge and soak up all the water you want. It’s wear you disperse your water that matters. You should celebrate however by figuring out what you want to study in college. Cutting your own work out.
