Did any women here go late with their first baby?

Asked by pkuttner (150points) March 20th, 2012

All the statistics say that a woman will go past her due date with her first pregnancy. Anyone here deliver before?

I delivered on my due date.

I was several days early with my second.

My wife delivered on her due date both times. But then we had the advantage of knowing exactly when the embryos were created each time.

All my children were late. The first was 10 days, the other two were each three days late.

I was two weeks late with my both my children. I had to be induced with the first and I luckily went into natural labor with my second on the day I was supposed to be induced.

I was induced early with both of mine due to complications.

Yep, I was a solid week early, was sure I would be late, and my daughter weighed 8 lbs.4 oz.!
The nurses joked that if I had gone to my due date she’d have been a 10 pounder. Lucky me! lol

I had my kids around 30 years ago and all but the last were late. I think that these days they are much better at predicting due dates than they were then. My daughters first two were early by a few days and all 7 of my grand kids were born within a week of their due dates. That rarely happened back in “the olden days.”

My first child was two days early.
Second child was one day early.
Third child was ten days early.

No for me.

I was my mother’s first child and came over a week late. I was delivered by C-section because I wouldn’t come out!

My first was two weeks early. But it was induced because my water broke. They give you 24 hours after the water breaks before they induce you.

I didn’t realize that happened! In TV and movies, the water always breaks and they rush to the hospital while the mother is having contractions. So not true.
