Oh come on, NHL ref's can't be this incompetent can they?

Asked by Adirondackwannabe (36713points) April 17th, 2012

Nashville just scored on Detroit. The puck is clearly in the back of the net. The referees blow the play dead claiming they lost sight of the puck. The puck is clearly visible the entire time. Where do they find these clowns?

Go Redwings!

From what I know of professional hockey, which is, admittedly, fuck all, isn’t everything planned ahead? Kinda like wrestling?

Nashville just scored again. Happy?

Crybaby. Awww, is that your boy sitting in the penalty box?

@Symbeline No it’s totally unscripted. Both teams go all out and nothing is planned.

People always keep telling me it’s rigged. :/ Maybe they’re just pissed cuz their team looses all the time. XD

@Symbeline. Hockey isn’t rigged. There are a few dominant franchises though. One involves octupy.

… and another, who is the reigning Stanley Cup Champion, will be doing it again this year.

Go Bruins!

@Trillian High sticking lowlifes, take that.

The NHL refs still do a better job than the NHL discipline team (not that I saw the non goal, I wasn’t watching the game and of course they wouldn’t show something like that in the highlights).

@Symbeline Are you talking to Canadien or Leafs fans? Both are likely to claim the sport is rigged because both fanbases are pretty whiny and both teams are pretty bad. I assure you both teams would have better showings if the sport was actually rigged since the NHL would want to placate such large fanbases.

I’d like to see them perform complex ice dance moves as they give decisions, camp it up a bit.
