What's in your bag?

Asked by GloPro (8404points) May 21st, 2014 from iPhone

You may keep one large suitcase of your belongings, and the clothes on your back. You have the rest of the month to pack. You don’t know where you’re headed. What’s in your bag and on your body?

My laptop, my camera, my charger, my cellphone, one 9 light LED Flashlight, small first aid kit, toiletries, swim suit, sunscreen, bug spray, my AR7 22 cal. survival rifle with 1,000 round brick of bullets, 10’ tarp, collapsible fishing pole and few lures, small hand pump water filter leather work gloves, Swiss Army Knife and 100 ’ each of climbing rope and thin nylon cord, leather hiking boots and my American Express Card. Clothes would be wool and silk socks, under armor top and bottom, hoodie, jeans, 2 t-shirts and pair of jeans. I would show up to the departure wearing a suit and tie with my K7 mountain coat over it. Can I bring my dog? And instead of the suitcase can I pack in my internal frame backpack?

Well, there is no way on earth that I could pack everything in my possession that is precious to me – mementos, pictures, baby books, special gifts from loved ones, family heirlooms.

So I guess I would just take a variety of clothes, shoes, jewelry and cosmetics, pajamas, underwear, makeup, hairspray, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, camera, and my purse. Oh, and my Kindle.

I would wear jeans, comfortable shoes, lightweight top and hoodie.

Okay, I am good to go.

Is the direction I am headed in or near civilization, running water, electricity, Wifi, etc.?

GloPro's avatar

@Hypocrisy_Central All good questions, but you aren’t told where you are going. What would you choose to pack?
I can’t believe no one has packed bikinis, sundresses, sunscreen, and beer… Such survivalists we all are!

ARE_you_kidding_me's avatar

@GloPro Sunscreen and alcohol are on my list. I’ll just swim in shorts

ARE_you_kidding_me's avatar

I forgot condoms.

Crazydawg's avatar

@GloPro I got the swim suit and sunscreen and cell phone packed that will kick out the jams if beach volley ball is in the cards.

GloPro's avatar

An inflatable ball or frisbee wouldn’t take much room.

Crazydawg's avatar

Crap! Is it too late to add duct tape to my list? You can made a killer Frisbee and hammock with duct tape!
