I have been on a journey through @Symbeline‘s mind, as she has through mine.

@Safie That’s a great question, but I don’t know if you want to go there. It can be scary at times.

I would advise against an exploratory journey today. My head appears to be filled with a sort of viscous liquid. Visibility would be very poor and I don’t think it would be safe. My head is also experiencing spontaneous and spasmodic explosions that dispels this viscous liquid at great speed.

At other times you’ll need to be well prepared. I’d recommend rope and abseiling equipment. A compass, map and GPS are recommended. My brain appears to contain wormholes that will render the map, compass and GPS pretty useless at times. One moment you’ll be fighting off T-Rex and the next dealing with a multicoloured avalanche. So a spade might be helpful and/or some sort of satellite alert system so people can come and find you. Or just take a tardis! You may want to get out quickly.

Take a psychologist with you to try to help you understand the unfathomable and disjointed places and things you’ll encounter. Perhaps an enigma machine would help? Good boots. You may need to run from things. Shark killing equipment. Desert island survival odds and ends. Definitely take Bear Grylls. He’ll be very useful. Oh and don’t forget your sense of adventure and sense of humour. Watch out for zombies… they seem to appear when the sharks, dinosaurs and avalanches aren’t happening.

Hope this helps! Have fun. I do.

If you decide to carry a weapon while in there please load it with Glaser Blue Safety rounds. Standard ammo penetrates too far and might put bystanders at risk.

Earthbound_Misfit's avatar

What might we meet in your mind @LuckyGuy? This question feels a little like Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea or Journey to the Centre of the Earth – or perhaps that’s just my brain!

Sometimes a parachute, and sometimes something to help you stay awake.

LuckyGuy's avatar

@Earthbound_Misfit It’s actually quite peaceful and pleasant in there but there’s no sense being unprepared.

A Zorb would definately be handy. High tech hearing protection required. It’s very loud and bumpy in here.

A 4×4 truck and a big gun, the truck for all the mud and hills, and the gun for all the monsters in my past.

- A flashlight for the poorly-lit streets.
– A small handgun, for self-defense (and maybe for helping people too).
– Some money. You may need it sometimes in various situation.

That’s all for physically equipment, now for mental equipment:

- A bit cynical mind: don’t trust anyone completely, you may be betrayed. Good things don’t always come to you just because you are good.
– Ready to help people. Don’t trust anyone but still help them. Some of them can be genuine and will pay you back. Be kind not for any reward, just because you are human.
– Don’t be surprised by violence. It’s common and you can be involved unexpectedly too.
– Ready for the loneliness. You may be the only honest person left. There may be people who want to help you, but with their personal reason and in the end you are still alone.
– Don’t trust the authorities. They are corrupted. They may even want you dead.
