Scientifically speaking, where would heaven be? (DETAILS )

Asked by MrGrimm888 (19033points) November 8th, 2016

If heaven, or he’ll were real. Where would they be?

A parallel universe? Somewhere between space and time? Another planet? Maybe in what we call ‘dark matter?’

Has anyone ever heard,or read of any attempts to scientifically define theses places in relation to Earth?

Could we be living in this dimension, and when we die our soul then can travel to the ‘heaven ’ dimension?

As most know, I’m an atheist, but I’m curious that if I’m wrong, where I might end up. Yes , probably Hell, but where would that be in relation to our current location?

A low performance backup server in the cellar.
Along the same line:
The behaviour of the abrahamic “god” is consistent with a hypothetical 10 year old child running playing a Sims-style universe simulation.

Both Heaven and Hell are – who’d have thought – right here.

Rationally speaking, “scientifically speaking” and “heaven” do not belong in the same sentence.

Biblically, Heaven is the firmament that divided two masses of water, one of which was turned into the Earth.

So, I have to side with the Mormons and Battlestar Galactica and say, “the other planets up there.”

Well. If space and time had no relevance, the distance could be very far.

If it were real . Could we eventually discover it, and go there without having to die first?

I was hoping a theist might have something interesting to say. If Heaven and Hell are real ‘places,’ then we might in time find ways to get there ,without dying.

What then? Would heaven have a defensive measure? I’ve heard of Pearly Gates. Could that be a force field, or something?

Could heaven or hell be destroyed? Like by a terrorist attack from a different religion?

I think Eden parallels to heaven, at least in Abrahamic religions. So… According to Wikipedia:

“Although the Garden of Eden is considered to be mythological by most scholars, there have been other suggestions for its location: for example, at the head of the Persian Gulf, in southern Mesopotamia (now Iraq) where the Tigris and Euphrates rivers run into the sea; in Iranian Azerbaijan, and in the vicinity of Tabriz; and in the Armenian Highlands or Armenian Plateau”
