Have you somehow assigned a human voice to your dog?

Asked by ZEPHYRA (21750points) January 24th, 2018

If your dog were able to talk to you, how do you think its voice would sound? Do you associate it with a well-known voice, some kind of squeeky or deep voice according to the breed? When you are talking to your dog what kind of voice do you imagine coming out of him?
Chipmunk style? Some other cartoon?

Sorta like someone who can’t completely close their mouths.

My old lab has a low slow drawl, my young boy is like Stewie on Family Guy.

All dogs talk to me like Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

My husband has assigned voices to our dogs. He uses a nasally, dumb voice, much like Gomer Pyle

We do that with our dog. She’s a white, Maltese/Havanese.

I do her voice as slightly annoyed and exasperated. Also, a little entitled — as if our entire existence is for her benefit.

That’s not my dog.

@Zaku: Does your dog bite?

@cookieman I just want a rheum.

@Zaku: I do not know what a “rheum” is.
