Less people, fewer bosses ,weigh scales mostly closed, I much prefer to work nights over a day shift.

Usually for me it would be on a Friday or Saturday night. The latest I can usually stay up might be 2 a.m. It makes me feel happy. I don’t do it too often – my typical weekend bed time might be around 12 or 1.

Faster internet connection.

Listen to music uninterrupted. I might sit outside and listen to the night sounds.

This is such a peaceful time of our day. You don’t have to answer to anyone.

Also more hot water for baths at night.

Much much less outside noise. Much less people outside. In the summer it is a lot cooler. You don’t have to worry about phone calls unless it’s an emergency. Most businesses are closed. Less traffic. Just much more peaceful. I’d say 3AM is my favorite time of night/morning. And yes it is generally my happiest time.

Nothing anymore. Used to love staying up late when I was young. Now insomnia forces me to be up and I no longer enjoy it since nighttime is the time when all my ailments are magnified. Anxiety sets in and the looong night seems endless when you feel sick and on edge. At the crack of dawn things seem better and sleep starts knocking on my door. So late nights are not fun anymore j.

The peace of knowing the phone or doorbell is not going to ring. The overall quiet of empty streets and highways. The fact that I can travel to anyplace within this city or cross the city in any direction in less than 12 minutes. Then there’s the quiet—priceless.

Quiet, alone time…

I like the fact that I finally get tired naturally and going to be is a something I look forward to instead of something I HAVE to do.
