Which religion has the principle that the journey is more important than the destination?

Asked by Evert (167points) March 9th, 2009

I think it’s one of the major Chinese religions (Buddhism, Taoism, Confucanism), but I’m not sure which. Google show’s all kind of hits, but nothing conclusion.
Of course, I’d expect it’s probably just one of the principles, not the main (but if it is, please tell me)

In Buddhism, the journey is the destination.

Yup, the Zen spirit. Although I feel that rules out Buddhism, because I think I specifically have something with ‘more important’ in mind (unless that just doesn’t exist, and I messed things up).

@Evert I think you are confused. Listen to Harp.

There is no journey or destination.

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance summed this up quite nicely. It is Buddhism that you are thinking about.
