No just the cell phone. I only need one phone.

We do have a land-line. I live in a house with a bunch of roommates and when we split the bill it is super cheap. We have long-distance blocked so the bill is easy to split-up. My GF was in Canada for a while so I had Vonage for free calls up north. She is here now so I got rid of it.

I don’t have cell phone but most people in my house do. I pay about 5$ for the land-line and that doesn’t bother me. We have cable for Internet.

I have a home phone and each member of the family has a cell phone. A land line is mandatory for my job. I would have either way thought because sometimes family members talk for hours on the land line plus reception is always better.

I canceled my land line (Verizon) yesterday! We found that we were using it less and less – relying on cell phones. I figured, why pay the extra $50.00?

The phone company’s argument was that cell phones don’t show an address when calling the police, therefore they are unsafe, but I’ll risk it.

I have a cell phone for when I’m out and a land-line while I’m at home. Sadly, I tend to have really bad reception at my house on my cell phone.

I decided to keep my 12.00 a month landline after a power outtage last year. I would have been really stuck without it and I think I’ll keep it for a few more years.

After a few 200.00+ phone bills, I find that it’s also a way to cut back on the minutes that I’m using between 5 and 9. It also helps me locate my phone when I can’t find it, and the only telephone number that I give out to retailers, potential employers, and other non-urgent calls. In the long run, it does save me money.

We only obtained cells a few months ago, and opted for Go Phones. Our land line has an answering machine and is the number in the phone book. We don’t give out our cell numbers because we don’t want to waste our minutes on advertising calls or wasteful things. Besides, we are, unfortunately, still on dial up, so we have to keep the land line.

We have cell phones; when we signed up for cable TV and Internet, cable telephone was just $12 a month more, and that seemed a reasonable price to pay for convenience.

Thanks for the opinions guys!!! I currently still have a landline which I screen my calls…because no one we know call us there. I don’t mind keeping a landline but only recently I discovered there is an unauthorized USBI charge on my bill since 12 months ago. It adds from $0 a month to $36 a month to my Verizon phone bill on top of what Verizon charges me. I just don’t want to deal with things like this anymore…so I am considering dropping my landline all together. TimeWarner wants $40 a month (not including international calls) more for cable phone even though I already have RoadRunner and DTV. Thanks for the opinions guys!!! Without the true 911 so I don’t know if this even worth the trouble.
