Which carmaker uses better paint, Mercedes or BMW?

Looking to repaint my car, I have a choice of duplicating any original paint job and color—in silver, the BMW color is “Titanium Silver” and the Mercedes is “Iridium Silver”—I think that they both use Glasurit paint which is not available in the US—but any opinions as to which maker does better paintwork on their cars?

I had part of my Mercedes re-painted after an accident with supposedly “Mercedes” paint, (according to the collision center), and it has about 30% more chips than the entire rest of the car, even though the rest of the paint is 10 years old and the new paint is only ~3 years old now. I don’t know anything about BMW paint though.
