Why does my banking site keep telling me system unavailable? Its driving me nuts!

Asked by boots74 (72points) February 28th, 2008

I have been going to a banking web site for almost a year now. The past 3 weeks or so, I cannot get it to come up. I type the same address as alway, and it tells me system unavailable-contact customer service. I have contacted customer service twice now. They can get into my account on their end and say I should have no problem.
What is the problem? How can I fix this? It is makin me nuts!

What’s the name of the company? Are you 100% sure they are legitimate? Is it a web-only bank?

What do the customer service agents tell you when you say, “yes, I understand that I should have no problem, but the screen still says ‘system unavailable’?”

she tells me “you should have no problem, just keep trying” I told her I have been trying for three weeks now. She tells me well, its on your end, our end is fine.
it is :www.myaccount.chase.com

Chase is reputable. Have you cleared the cache of your web browser? Forgotten your login info?

Try going directly to the Chase site and click on your Account link to log in instead of typing in the address. Perhaps it is a situation where the address isn’t correct.

Good luck!

What browser are you using? For a while, when using firefox on linux I couldn’t get into my bank (similar error). Have you tried getting in via another browser or on another computer?

Have you tried logging on from their homepage (chase.com)? Or are you only trying on the myaccount.chase.com page?

Had EXACTLY SAME problem with chase for the texas unemployment debit card, it won’t go to registration from Firefox, their IT team isn’t up to snuff, had to use Internet Explorer, to set registration up. Don’t know yet if now I can use Firefox to check balance, possibly was just a coding problem on the register page…if not, I’ll just have to use IE for that site unfortunately. Congrats on actually getting to a real person on the phone, all I got was menu’s. But IE will work for you.

Yes..it works in firefox now , just had to go to the registration page to set it up using IE.

I BANK WITH CHASE TOO BRO. IT JUST MEANS THAT CHASE BANK CORP. IS UNDERGOING AN UN-SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ON THE WEBSITE. THEIRE WEBSITE HAS ALOT OF BUGS BECAUSE THEY ARE FAIRLY NEW TO THE WHOLE ONLINE ACCOUNT INFORMATION, IF YOU WANT TO KNOW YOUR BALANCE GO AHEAD AND CALL THEM OR USE AN ATM. NO WORRIES. IT WILL BE BACK UP AND RUNNING. ITS NOT ON YOUR SIDE. ITS THEIRS, THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE PRETTY MUCH JUST AS MUCH IN THE DARK ABOUT THE PROBLEM AS YOU. GOODLUCK.
