I like seeing that I got a GA. The points don’t really matter to me, but knowing someone thought my answer was a “great” one does.

Your_Majesty's avatar

I do,only if it’s knowledgeable and help others.

I lurve lurve so hard.

For a person who comes to this site and asks a question, if they get an answer from someone with a high lurve score, they may be more likely to trust the answer given to them.

For a frequent user of the site, it’s nice to see on what questions/answers people appreciated your opinions, and on which questions/answers, people were not so pleased with them. It gives you a reason to repeat certain behaviors, and halt others.

@ame_evil if you don’t lurve it, why don’t you hand it all off to me, I don’t mind

I’m neutral.

I do lurve lurve because I like being able to communicate that I liked a particular remark. They won’t know it was from me, but they know that someone appreciated their comment. As for the receipt of lurve, I only watch mine to see when the number is a palindrome. (Hey, I have an issue with balance, okay?) There are a couple of other websites I go to and I keep wanting to click a “Great Answer” button.

Yes but I think there should be some finer clarifications such as
“Funny” ,“Supportive”, “Good Human Being”, “What the Fluther? answers.
I do like that the negative is not acknowledged though because all you need is lurve.

I lurve being able to give GAs and GQs.

I think that by nature we tend to be such quantifying creature that we obsessively rate everything(the top 10, the World’s Best) but I actually think some jellies are more political than others and so that’s why I think that there needs to be a further clarification. There is the poster that rarely if ever posts more than a one liner. Now granted that’s great, funny and adds comic relief but shouldn’t that be different than one who will take the time and really analyze a question and answer honestly? Not less than in terms of value but just some distinction-funny, insightful, helpful etc. . It’s difficult to create constructed answers that are acknowledged and very often they are overlooked because people don’t want to take the time.

It’s the currency of happiness in Fluther. You have to lurve it.

I’m on the lurve rollercoaster. Sometimes I feel like some of my questions are quite lurve worthy, but never receive it. I dunno. I lurve to lurve lurve, but I don’t feel the lurve sometimes.

SeventhSense's avatar

@Axemusica
I’ve always had a tenuous relationship with it but I tend to abhor anything that quantifies value in people by a number.

SeventhSense's avatar

Funny too. There is probably a hundred pages of this question but ironically it never gets modded. No doubt because it a never ending self reference loop for the website.

avvooooooo's avatar

@SeventhSense Yet it hasn’t been asked for a little while at least. I checked! But then again, if the keywords were different… But I checked! :)

Yes. It’s like hearing someone laugh at something you said. It has no value, but makes me feel appreciated.

I prefer a Pm that says: That cracked me up…or that was really helpful. It’s nice to get the anonymous lurve don’t get me wrong, but lurve it? Ah, maybe likurve but not lurve lurve.

I lurve lurve. I’ve been gone for a couple weeks, so I’m lurve-deprived.

Lurve is a many splendored thing.

I like being appreciated by my peers for my questions and answers.
Higher accumulated lurve scores add to our credibility.
I’d like to have a way to indicate a horrible question or answer in a way that influences their lurve score.

OpryLeigh's avatar

I lurve seeing which questions or answers I got lurve for. Just getting lurve without knowing why would be boring but knowing I got lurve for a particular question or answer makes me feel good.

@Blondesjon
I appreciate the brevity of your wit. It’s always refreshing..
like that first splash from the bowl on your ass in the morning :)
There is of course only one correct answer and that would be my first answer.~
