Did you and s/o have a "special song" that tied you together?

Asked by john65pennington (29258points) February 28th, 2010

This may not occur today, but years ago, couples would have that one “special song” that was theirs and theirs alone. everytime you hear that song, it gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling inside. remembering how it was or how it could have or should have been with just you two? 1960 was the year Percy Faith recorded Theme From A Summer Place. this was and still is “our song”. care to share “your song”?

It’s probably overused, but our song was always “Into the Mystic” by Van Morrison.

Also “Sugar Magnolia,” but we opted to play “Into the Mystic” at our wedding for the sake of everyone else.

My wedding song is “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” (the Cash version). But, Beck’s “Sea Change” is the album we fell in love to. Every time I hear it I remember the first year or so of dating.

@LunaChick That’s a great torch song!

Answer to original question: Current SO and I don’t have a “song” per se. But my ex and I had a million different oldies songs to call “ours”. Out of all of them, my favorite was “Another Saturday Night” by Sam Cooke.
