Which candidate will capture the Amish vote and will it turn the election?

Asked by trainerboy (1307points) March 26th, 2008

Do the Amish vote and would that voting block sway the elelction? Has there been too much pandering to that block of votes.

I seriously doubt the Amish vote will seal the deal. But you never know….

lol amish people are cool. I dont think they vote though. Are they allowed to use the voting machines? They should though, I’m sure that these past 8 years have been tough on them as farmers.

I really don’t believe the Amish vote. I agree, they are cool though!

Damn, they don’t vote, huh?
I was wondering why my candidate was not catching fire!!!

they do not even recognize a US government. They have one leader, god.
And I would even doubt there is more than a few thousand living in the US. hands down, one of the most foolish ?‘s I have read.

I don’t think Amish people vote? I know they don’t have to fight in the army, so I think that takes away their right to vote.

You may be right. Like I said, maybe that is why my candidate for President is not catching on. He decided to focus on the Amish bloc because nobody had ever focussed there before.
Too bad. He would have been a good President but I guess this shows a little bit of ignorance on his part about the whole political process, maybe even reflects on his knowledge of world affairs.

True, it seemed like he was trying to be a great person and go to people that are rarely seen to try to get votes from them, and maybe other people who think he’s “kind hearted” or something by doing this.

He is actually still campaigning there. We can’t get hold of him because they have no phones nor television sets so he doesn’t know the process is pretty well decided.

His slogan though is “Every Amish vote matters!”.

Butter churns and bonnets are going to be big this year. The Amish are going be very fashionable among 18 to 24 year old voters. And we also know that supporting Obama is very “in” right now.

All I can say is It’s highly likely that these two trends will come together.
