The high of some very edictive drugs must be better, because addicts willingly give up sex in preference for their drug high. Personally, I will stick to being a sex addict. It’s much easier to remain functional enough to fit in with gentile society than is heroin or methamphetamine addiction. And at my age, a couple of “fixes” a week is plenty. :-)

Of course I never tried heroin, but I read books and many heroin users say that at the beginning the injection felt like 1000 orgasms at the same time. In the end when trying to stop, the lack of the injection feels like 1000 headaches at the same time.

We also have to distinguish between pleasure and happiness. In terms of pleasure I think orgasms are at the top of the list. But lasting happiness requires self actualization which goes far beyond.
