How can I move all my bullet points to the left?
So I’m properly formatting some notes from an earlier class, and I need to move all the notes in a section to the left. Example:
How it is now:
1)1st Triumvirate
<tab>a)1st Triumvirate (meaning)
<tab><tab>i)3 men
What I want it to be:
1)1st Triumvirate (meaning)
<tab>a)3 men
How do I do this in Word or OneNote? Or Google Docs, for that matter?

If you have the ruler showing, you can highlight the section you want to move over, and manually move it over by moving the bar in the ruler. This won’t change the bullet type, though – i.e. from i) to a). If you want to do that, then you have to highlight the section and “change list level” (that’s under Home, in the Paragraph tab – in Word 2007, anyway).

On your toolbars right next to the button for bullets and numbering there should be two buttons, one thats to decrease the indent and another to increase it. Try clicking on the indent thats to decrease the indent with the line a)etc… selected. I’m not sure if thats exactly what you’re looking for, but I think it is.
