I want to put angel wings on this picture. I don't want to purchase photoshop. Is there any free site I can use?

My best friend passed away and I wanted to put angel wings on her picture. I was wondering if there was any free site I can use to do this? I know photoshop has this feature, but was wondering if there was any other way I can do it? Does anyone know of any free sites? The photo I am trying to edit is my avatar.

Gimp is 100% free to download and use and is user friendly, very similar to Photoshop.

GIMP, as has been said, is gratis, though if you don’t have any sort of background in photo manipulation, the concepts might be hard to grasp, initially.

One of my roommates just turned me onto Paint.net. It’s also completely free, and pretty comprehensive.

I found a page that reviews free graphics software for Macs

One of them is Artrage, which is something I’ve used, and you might be able to use for this project, if you intend to paint the wings on rather than cut and paste wings from another picture.
